The central locking is the name given to the process of closing or opening all doors of a car using electric latches. The operating mechanism is simple. Whenever the central locking is activated, small electric motors drive the latched doors of a car and not allow it to be opened from outside.

The central door lock system consists of drivers door lock assembly, ignition system, fusebox, alarm ECU, battery, lock motor.
